For over two decades, Pioneer Valley Balloons has provided memory filled flights for thousands of clients. Our perfect safety record is a result of proper decision making and knowing when the correct conditions exist for a pleasant and safe flight. Passenger safety is number one. We may make it look simple, but that comes from years of experience.

All of our pilots have extensive training and experience and know the importance of customer service.  Have some questions feeling a little nervous? Our Pilots

Lisa Fusco - Owner and Chief Pilot - Lisa started flying hot air balloons in 1998 and has accumulated over 700 hours of flight time. In 2005, after years of managing the balloon operation, she took over as sole proprietor of Pioneer Valley Balloons, LLC. The importance of safety has been a constant standard in her flying career. She is currently working on her fixed-wing and helicopter ratings, and is also learning to fly a powered paraglider.

In 2004, Lisa’s longtime dream of owning The Northampton Airport became a reality when she and business partner, Bob Bacon, purchased the facility. In the first two years of ownership they made major improvements to the field by adding 18 new T-Hangars and adjacent taxiway areas, two new community hangars, and a completely remodeled office and classroom building.
